Getting to Redcliffe Festival of Sails

Redcliffe Festival of Sails is located at Suttons Beach on the Redcliffe Peninsula, just 40 min north of the Brisbane CBD.

During the celebrations, there will be a number of changes to car park, road and traffic conditions. Please abide by all traffic control and parking signs. View a list of road closures here

Large crowds are expected around the Redcliffe Seaside Village Precinct and Suttons Beach Park for the festival and Queen's Baton Relay celebrations. Patrons attending these celebrations are being encouraged to travel via free shuttle buses operating from the Redcliffe Showgrounds and Kippa-Ring Train Station.

By Car

From Brisbane

Travel north on the Bruce Highway and take EXIT 133. Follow the signs along Anzac Avenue to Redcliffe (approximately 9km)

From Brisbane Airport

Travel north on the Gateway Motorway and take the Deagon Deviation exit crossing the Houghton Highway bridge to Redcliffe (approximately 10km). Book airport transfers here

From Sunshine Coast

Travel south along the Bruce Highway and take EXIT 133. Follow the signs along Anzac Avenue to Redcliffe (approximately 9km)

Park N Ride

Take the stress out of parking with FREE parking at the Redcliffe Showgrounds, Redcliffe and catch the courtesy shuttle bus to the festival. The shuttle runs frequently from 7.00am to 5.00pm and is pram and wheelchair friendly.

Changed Traffic Conditions

During the Festival of Sails and Queen's Baton Relay celebrations, there will be a number of changes to car park, road and traffic conditions. Motorists should follow the direction of Queensland Police, traffic control and road signage. Read more about the changed traffic conditions here.

By Train

From Brisbane

Take the Redcliffe Peninsula line to Kippa Ring Station and connect with the bus service to Redcliffe. For train timetable details visit www.translink.com.au

From Sunshine Coast

Take the Springfield line to Petrie Station. Change trains and take Redcliffe Peninsula line to Kippa Ring Station and connect with the bus service to Redcliffe. For train timetable details visit www.translink.com.au

Shuttle Bus

Courtesy shuttle bus will run frequently from Kippa Ring Station to festival from 7.15am to 5pm and is pram and wheelchair friendly. PLEASE NOTE THE SHUTTLE BUS WILL COINCIDE WITH TRAIN ARRIVALS (HOURLY ONLY) AND DEPART/ARRIVE ONCE PER HOUR.
